Job description:
The position is being filled for the Blood Cancer Research Group (BCRG) in Ostrava, Czech Republic. BCRG is closely linked to the Clinic of Hemato-oncology and has direct access to a large collection of patient samples in the Biobank. We have proteomic, bioinformatic, microscopic equipment, flow cytometry instruments, and a modern vivarium. The team is led by experienced scientists and is international. BCRG is a joint project of the University of Ostrava and the University Hospital Ostrava. Within BCRG, we focus on basic and translational research related to cell therapies. We use patient samples, cell lines, bioinformatic tools, modern biochemical and genetic techniques, in vivo models, and a range of the most modern multiomics methods. The selected candidate will work in the flow cytometry and cell sorting laboratory, will be responsible for processing peripheral blood and bone marrow samples for flow cytometry in collaboration with the Biobank. The selected person will also be responsible for data management and administration – collecting patient samples and their clinical records for multiple research projects, preparing data for presentations, preparing general documents for ethical committees, etc. The job content will be divided – 50% laboratory and 50% administration.
