He received this honor from the European Hematology Association (EHA), and the grant will support his scientific research in the field of hematology for a period of 3 years.
“It is a great honor for me to receive such an award. This grant will allow me to carry out a research project focused on extramedullary disease in multiple myeloma. We have been working on this topic for a long time, and we believe that the new findings will be translated into clinical practice and improve treatment outcomes for patients,” says Associate Professor Jelínek.
The grant is awarded to talented physician-scientists who conduct innovative research in the field of blood disorders. The aim of the program is to support new discoveries and contribute to the improvement of diagnosis and treatment for hematology patients across Europe. The grant enables funding for cutting-edge research, international collaboration, and the development of new therapeutic approaches.
The official award ceremony took place during the EHA 2025 Congress, held from June 12 to 15 in Milan, Italy. Associate Professor Jelínek was included in the so-calledWall of Fame of leading European hematology researchers.
